Conchi Natural Pool Aruba: Arikok Access, Hike & Safety Guide

Plan a visit to Aruba’s Conchi Natural Pool inside Arikok National Park, with rugged 4x4 access, hiking options and important wave-safety advice.

Conchi Natural Pool sits inside Arikok National Park on one of Aruba’s most rugged stretches of coast. Ancient volcanic rock forms a bowl-like pool separated from the open sea.

Aruba’s official tourism site says the location is inaccessible by conventional car and can be reached by suitable 4×4, horseback or hiking.

Getting there

Do not take an ordinary rental car onto rough tracks that require high clearance. Inexperienced off-road drivers are better served by a guided jeep excursion or the marked hiking route.

Swimming safety

The pool may look calm while waves break violently outside it. Conditions vary with swell, and entering the water is not always appropriate.

  • Follow park or guide instructions.
  • Do not stand on wave-washed rocks.
  • Bring enough drinking water and sun protection.
  • Use secure shoes for hiking or rocky access.
