Caribbean Islands Outside the Hurricane Belt (Safest Weather in 2026)

Updated August 2026: Hurricane exposure varies across the Caribbean. Southern destinations such as Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao, Trinidad and Tobago, and parts of the southern Windwards may face lower direct hurricane frequency than islands farther north, but none are hurricane-proof. Trinidad and Tobago is currently Level 3: Reconsider Travel and remains under a 2026 State of Emergency, so storm risk should not be confused with overall travel risk.
